Is automobile’s health affected by climatic conditions?

As a person gets affected by changing climatic conditions same is the process with the automobiles also. Though the changing climate affects all parts of the vehicle in one way or other but the most affected part is battery. The battery is an essential part of an automobile but it’s often the most neglected one also.

The climate in which it’s being installed also affects its potential of responding to the different conditions. If the climate is moist it will produce corrosion which in turn affects the battery capabilities at the time of starting. The reason is that because of the accumulation of corrosion the electric current gets distracted in between before reaching the desired destination. In the winters it also faces some starting problems because it does not get warmed up easily.

One can overcome the problem arising out of this by

Checking the terminals, load and connections before winter and summer
Replacing the worn out battery in time
Use of the additional things like cab lights and stereos must be avoided if the battery is not in good condition
The engine also gets affected along with the battery with the changing climate. As the oil becomes thicker in the cold conditions the automobile’s parts face difficulty in moving. This leads to the power loss in the engine. In hot climate the engine gets overheated and stops working properly. It gets worse during the summer instead of winters. During humid days the water evaporated from the engine result in its failure.

A person can protect the exteriors of the car if not interiors with the help of a car cover. It also protects the car from the ultra violet rays coming from the sun and also the acid rain produced by the air pollution. So a person can do something to avoid the damage to the car because of the changing climatic conditions.
